Meet Boulder Running Company Team Member Brian St Onge! Brian has been part of our team since August, but is no newbie to the sport of running.

What do you love about running? The best part about running is the camaraderie. I love hearing the stories that every individual has about their running career. I also love enjoying the the scenery while out on a run.

What is your favorite thing about running and working in Boulder? The best thing about Boulder, Running in Boulder and working at Boulder Running Company are the people! There is a real sense of community and friendship.  Since the tragedy of the floods, Boulder has come together as a city and community – everyone helping one another and lending a helping hand.  I enjoy everyone I work with at BRC! We all have a sense of humor and laugh quite often.

Tell us about your running history. I began running during my sophomore year in High School in the hopes that my Cross Country coach would let me play on the JV basketball team. When basketball didn’t work out, I kept at the running scene and was part of the 1993 4-A North Carolina Cross Country State Championship team. That lead me into running college at the University of North Carolina-Greensboro where I was a 4 year Cross Country, Indoor and Outdoor Track athlete. I later continued running in California with the Asics Aggies from 2002-2005. Moving back to North Carolina in 2005, I joined up with former Olympian Joan Nesbit Mabe and ran with Carrboro running.  These days, I’m still running, and enjoy both marathons and triathlons.

What are your favorite products? Peppermint Stick flavored Gu, Zoot Compression Socks, and the Nike Flash Jacket!
