What do you love about running? I love running for the peace it brings me. I love that it is dedicated time to think and clear my mind, and for what efficient exercise it is. Life always seems easier to manage after a hard run.

What is your favorite thing about running and working in Boulder? I love the energy of the running community here. I’ve found it to be a very supportive environment for runners of all abilities – from the elite athletes who flock here to train to the newest beginner. The extensive trail system and abundant opportunities to connect with other runners make it an easy place to get started. Working at Boulder Running Company is fantastic because of my amazing co-workers. We genuinely enjoy each other, and that makes a great place to work. Prior to working on our website, I was on the sales floor (and still am from time to time!), and I love the challenge of figuring out exactly which shoes and gear are the best match for my customers. Our customers are the best in the world.

Tell us about your running history. Running is, and has been, my favorite form of exercise for over 15 years. I’ve run competitive distances from the 5k to the marathon – the half marathon is my favorite. I come from a running family (my father, Johnny Halberstadt, is one of our founders, and ran at a world-class, elite level for my whole childhood), so the running community has always felt like home. I plan to keep challenging myself with running for as long as I can!

What are your favorite products? The Hoka One One Kailua Tarmac, Vega nutrition products, and the Zoot Ultra 2.0 Compression sock.
