The newest version of the Brooks Ravenna is, in our humble opinion, a fabulous improvement upon an already solid shoe.
The biggest difference wearers will notice is the overall more plush feel to the shoe, owing to the BioMogo cushioning system that now extends the length of the entire shoe, versus just the forefoot and heel. The Ravenna has also undergone just the slightest increase in stability, but is still best suited to the neutral to mild overpronator. Finally, Brooks added a navicular band which will wrap the arch when the shoelaces are tightened, giving the shoe a fits-like-a-glove feel fresh out of the box.
This will continue to be a great choice for those looking for just a touch of added stability. Its closest counterparts would be the adidas Tempo, the Asics DS Trainer, and the Mizuno Inspire.
