Come support up and coming young runners at the High Altitude Running Team’s Jingle Bell Run and Pancake Breakfast on December 7th!
The event will act as a fundraiser with proceeds benefiting the newly-instated Monument Track Club, an off-shoot of the H.A.R.T. team that’s meant to keep high school kids training and competing throughout their winter off season between cross country and outdoor track. The kids will aim to compete at a handful of indoor track meets featured at the Air Force Academy, Colorado School of Mines, and the University of Colorado.
The pancake breakfast will be held at the Palms Restaurant at the Gleneagle golf course in Colorado Springs. Beginning at 8 a.m., attendees will head out for a fun 5 mile run around the golf course grounds, and the more Christmas spirit the better! So wear your elf outfits, jingle bells, and Santa hats. Pet reindeer are optional but encouraged, but please bring baggies to pick up after them as per the request of the golf course’s maintenance staff.
Following the run will be an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast.
Tickets can be purchased for $8.00 at every Wednesday night fun run at the BRC, and can also be purchased at the door the day of the event.
