Good Form Running for our Beginner 5K Group!

This last Tuesday, we had a clinic put on by New Balance called “Good Form Running” for our “Easy as 1, 2, 3.1″ program.  The premise of the clinic focuses on four points: straight posture, a forward lean from the ankles, a mid-foot strike, and 180 steps per minute.  Former New Balance pro James, conducted the clinic.  He had our runners’ run with a metronome set at 180 steps per minute.  After the clinic we all went out for our first night run.  It was a great night, and all of our runners are getting improving each week.  It is so awesome to see this group improve and get closer to the 5k goal race coming up, way to go guys!
