Every wednesday, here at the store, we have a speed workout for our customers. We typically do a lap around the reservoir outside the store (1.42 miles) then meet at the corner, and start the workout as a group. It is usually 15-20 minutes of intervals, run at each person’s race specific effort. Following the run we all gather, head over to Nella’s Frozen Yogurt to socialize, and enjoy delicious froyo. We typically try to get a vendor at the run for shoe demos, and this past week we hosted Hoka One One. It is always fun. This year we wanted to do something very special for Halloween. However, being that running a hard effort in a costume is not practical, we came up with a mismatched running clothes contest. We had raffle items for the following categories, voted on by the participants:
1) Most outdated item
2) Worst color combination(s)
3) Most brands worn
4) Worst layering decision
5) Most painfully visible (bright/ reflective/ lit etc.)
6) Most deserving of a raffle item…. (best reason wins)
The customers came in awesome attire and it made for an exciting night!
