The second annual St. Patrick’s Day Green Mountain trail run couldn’t have turned out better this morning. Thirty runners arrived in their best green running threads to celebrate the day.
The sun was shining bright as we headed out onto the surprisingly dry trail. Three groups separated into three different trail paths, yet somehow we all conveniently arrived back at the trail head at exactly the same time. We ran, conversed and laughed our way back to the parking lot, where we enjoyed some snacks and drinks in the in celebration of a couple of birthdays, Patty’s Day and the beginning of spring! As a runner checked her Garmin report afterward, she discovered the route we took was almost completely shaped like a shamrock. Next year we might just call this the Shamrock Loop!
