Starting at BoddingtonPark, this route is an out-and-back along Monument Creek.
This 10 mile run comes with distance options. Starting at Boddington Park, the route heads north on the well-groomed path along Monument Creek. You’ll run non-stop with very few street crossings most of the way. The route will gradually climb the first 5 miles, making the return trip a little bit easier, as all you’ll have to do is lean forward and let gravity pull you downhill. The path will turn to pavement, and you’ll pass the Gossage Youth Sports Complex at the 2 mile marker, as the run winds along the creek with mountain views to the west. Just after 3 miles, you’ll pass the Pikeview Reservoir. Right before the turnaround at 5 miles, you’ll run under Highway 25, and you’ll make a U-Turn at the end of the University of Phoenix – Southern Colorado Campus. From here, it’s all downhill – literally.
