Initial reaction: Once I put on the 1260v3 there were a couple of great design features I enjoyed. As I tied my shoes I instantly felt the ultra-light support and fit that the Fantom Fit technology in the upper was designed to accomplish. It granted a very comfortable snug fit in the mid foot area and it kept me from having any slippage on the heel. The heel counter was very soft, cushioned, and comfortable.

Walk test (heel to toe) and run test (mid foot):  The New Balance 1260v3 has great cushion distribution from the heel to the toe. The super plush cushioning is credited to their patent midsole technology called Acteva Lite. This is a revolutionary midsole that reduces foam compression and is calculated to be 24% lighter then standard foam.

With the use of New Balance’s premium cushioning system Acteva Lite (midsole technology), New Balance is able to provide first-class cushioning while keeping it super light weight. The 8mm heel toe drop also made it very easy to run on my mid-foot.

Who is it for?

The light weight 1260v3 makes this an ideal alternative for any runner looking to scale down in weight and rack up in cushioning.

Great rotational lineup:
