My running resolution for 2014 is really quite simple: to race more. I really have spent a great majority of the last year just getting my base back, and my general fitness level anywhere resembling it’s previous best. Before this year and since running collegiately, I was just running recreationally. And in 2013, I ran in 4 races, all leading up to the Philadelphia Marathon in November.
Now that I’m more or less back into the swing of things and the marathon went well, I’ve got to fill up my schedule with a few more opportunities to compete (which always was my favorite part of running). The only race on my schedule so far is the Boston Marathon in late-April, but I’m going to try to at least double the amount of races I do in 2014, especially in an effort to get my racing edge back!
