Starting at the Georgetown Running Company-Washington DC, this route is a hilly loop that will take you across many national monuments.
This 10k loop runs along the Potomac River, and is perfect for sight-seeing on-the-run. The Watergate Hotel serves as your 1 mile marker, and as you head south along the Potomac, you’ll pass the Lincoln Memorial, and the Jefferson Memorial. After reaching the halfway point at one of two bridge crossings, you’ll see the Navy-Merchant Marine Memorial on the other side as you head back north. With DC to the east, you’ll pass Theodore Roosevelt Island in the final mile of your journey. After traversing Key Bridge, you’ll end back at the Georgetown Running Company.
