Meet Wilson Komen, a professional international distance runner, and a professional coach certified by both the Road Runners Club of America and USA Track & Field. Wilson is also certified as a Good Form Running instructor by New Balance and has worked for Georgetown Running Company for 11 years, helping runners in the community to find the right shoes and inspiring them to enjoy their running.
Komen was born and raised in Kenya, home of the most legendary long distance runners, and grew up training at an altitude of 8,000 feet. Wilson went on to become a professional international marathon runner, achieving his personal record of 2 hours, 17 minutes, and 7 seconds. He is the former course0record holder for the Green Bay Marathon, which he set in 2005. Wilson has also placed 12th, and 14th, at the 2004and 2006 Boston Marathons, respectively. In 2010, he placed 27th at the New York City Marathon.
