Our 5k training group weathered the 6 degree temperatures to get in our second group run of the week. Some may have thought that getting started with a running plan in January and the dead of winter would be tough, but if you can run in this weather with a smile on your face…
You can run in just about anything!
The attendance this morning was over the top given the conditions and this group was excited to get out and run.
This group of mostly newbie runners also learned that the right apparel really does make these outside temperatures bearable, and we heard surprised declarations of actually feeling warm! While we all admitted that we probably would not have gone out on our own, the accountability and companionship of having a group to train with made all of the difference this morning.
