Did the cold temperatures keep you inside today?

Our 5k training group weathered the 6 degree temperatures to get in our second group run of the week. Some may have thought that getting started with a running plan in January and the dead of winter would be tough, but if you can run in this weather with a smile on your face…

You can run in just about anything!

The attendance this morning was over the top given the conditions and this group was excited to get out and run.

This group of mostly newbie runners also learned that the right apparel really does make these outside temperatures bearable, and we heard surprised declarations of actually feeling warm! While we all admitted that we probably would not have gone out on our own, the accountability and companionship of having a group to train with made all of the difference this morning.

And you can’t beat a nice warm cup of coffee or tea to celebrate!

It’s not too late to sign up and start training with us. Come on out and see how a supportive group of runners (i.e., friends) can make the difference in your training, and help you to accomplish goals you may have never thought were possible.

    All thanks owed to our motivating coaches and spirited team members! This was group commitment at its finest. And a huge thanks to Panera who treated us all to coffee after…I wanted to stick my toes in it to help me thaw out!
