Meet Matt Frederick, Assistant Manager, who joined the team in 2012
Matt has been running since high school and continued through college. He excelled in the short distances & specialized in the 200m (21.5 personal best). Matt is currently in his 11th year of coaching track & field where he is a speed performance coach.
Matt pulls from his degree in Exercise Science & Physiology when customers need advice on how to treat or rehab injuries. “I enjoy working with customers and addressing their injury issues. I like getting to know their training habits and developing a way to rehab them from running related injuries”, says Coach Frederick.
Training Tip: Train at your own pace! Too much, too fast leads to injuries. If it hurts, ICE IT! Dynamic stretching is a must before any type of workout. Check out the Duck Pond (off Ridgewood Ave) for a nice training loop.

Matt can be seen sprinting in his favorite Nike & New Balance training shoes. His current love is his Nike Dri-Fit Knit & New Balance 1400
