The Bronxville Workout for the Week is a very simple fartlek to add a little snap to the legs but provide plenty of recovery. This is a great workout if you are just starting to add speed sessions to your routine or if you need an invigorating workout the week before a race.
10 minute warm-up jog
Run hard for 5 minutes, 5 minute recovery
Run hard for 4 minutes, 4 minute recovery
Run hard for 3 minutes, 3 minute recovery
Run hard for 2 minutes, 2 minute recovery
Run hard for 1 minute, 1 minute recovery
10 minute cool down jog
