The Brooks Ravenna is the Rodney Dangerfield of the Brooks line. . . it just doesn’t seem to get the respect of it more famous sibling, the Adrenaline. However, the Ravenna, now in its fifth incarnation, is a shoe that we believe in at New York Running Company, one that we recommend for runners looking for mild stability. The Ravenna 5 boasts some nice tweaks over the prior version. . . it has BioMoGo DNA throughout the entire midsole and an extended Crash Pad, resulting in a more comfortable landing and ride. Brooks has also improved the adjustable saddle, with integrated straps that give you a customized fit from heel to arch. The new Ravenna has a slightly lower drop (8mm) and is lighter than ever, making it a great choice for runners looking for a lightweight stability shoe. Even for this neutral runner, the Ravenna feels great. And, special shout to Brooks for the great colors!
Come on in and try on the Brooks Ravenna. While you’re here you can also look at new Brooks Pure Project Apparel. Coming soon. . . the new Brooks Transcend (launching February 1).
