Loyal New Balance runners were excited to see the updated version of the 890 shoe hit our shelves last month. What is even more impressive is that the 890 v4 is getting approving nods from folks who usually wear other brands.
Here’s why. . . New Balance has taken everything we liked about the 890 and made it better. Their new RevLite midsole composite offers improved cushioning and response but is dramatically lighter. In fact, this v4 is one ounce lighter than the v3. A new FantomFit upper offers seamless comfort and a little wider toebox. This shoe gives you a well-cushioned ride without feeling too soft. The 890 v4 runs very true to size and retains its 8mm drop. Overall, it’s a great looking shoe.
This shoe is definitely worth a try for runners looking for a lightweight, well cushioned, high mileage shoe, similar to the Asics Nimbus or Brooks Glycerin.
The New Balance 890 v4. . . winner of “Best Update” in the Winter 2013 Runners World Shoe Guide.
Come on in and try the 890 v4!
