RUNNING SHOE: HOKA Stinson Trail
By Emily, staff associate and ultra-runner
HOKA ONE ONE shoes hit our shelves within the past year and get quite a lot of attention from customers, who gravitate to these thickly cushioned shoes. Thickly cushioned, yet remarkable light, because HOKA has engineered a unique performance midsole geometry that features a higher volume, softer density, and greater rebounding foam than standard running shoes.
One believer is our own ultrarunner, Emily, who recently added the Hoka Stinson Trail to her running regimen. “The Stinson Trail is a great shoe for runners who have a history of injury, or are just looking for a shoe to maximize shock absorption,” she says. The Stinson Trail is noted for its super-soft feel, and it has “made all the difference in my training during long runs,” according to Emily.
In addition to the Stinson Trail, Emily recommends other Hoka styles, such as the Bondi, Mafate, Kailua, Rapa Nui and their newest — and lightest shoe — Conquest. Come check them all out at New York Running Company or click here to read more about HOKA Shoes.
