Congratulations to Mary Arnold, Assistant Manager at our Columbus Circle store, and store associates Emily Luhrs and Ben Dicke for competing in the Ghost Train Ultra Marathon last weekend in Milford, NH.
For Emily, it was her first “ultra” and she finished 60 miles of the hilly terrain in 15 hours 15 minutes. Ben was with her step for step for emotional support. Mary did the full 100 miles, finishing second in the women’s division (#6 overall) in 21:07, a personal best! We salute their perseverance, their tenacity and the true spirit of competition that drives them to push past their physical and mental limits.
All three will certainly be able to share their experiences with celebrated ultra-marathoner Dean Karnazes, who will be visiting our store tomorrow, October 30 at 6:30pm, part of “The North Face Never Stop Exploring” speaker series.
