Welcome NYC Half Runners and Thursday Trivia Challenge

Nothing like a blast of 20 degree cold to greet everyone coming to town for the NYC Half Marathon this Sunday. But have no fear; the forecast is for warmer weather this weekend, with a high temperature of 42 on Sunday. Hey, break out the shorts!

We will see many of you at the NYC Half Marathon Expo today through Saturday at the Metropolitan Pavillion at 125 West 18th Street (bet. 6/7). Expo hours are 10-8 today and tomorrow and 9-5 on Saturday and it is open to the public. We will be partnering with a number of our vendors, including Garmin and Feetures.

Remember, our end-of-season sale continues at the store, so come on in for incredible bargains on winter apparel, some as much as 50% off.

Time for our Thursday Trivia Challenge… Last week was a tough question, as we asked for the common name of the household drug acetylsalicylic acid. We got a handful of correct entries, and kudos to Catherine Mills who knew that the answer was Aspirin. Catherine, a new NYRC t-shirt is yours so come on in and claim your prize. This week’s question is from the world of geography. Name the four US states that have state capitals named after presidents. C’mon, you know this… make your 5th grade teacher proud! Send your answers to newyork@run.com (put “Trivia” in the subject) and we will select one winner at random from all correct responses. Thanks for playing, and good luck!
