Starting at the north end of the Nickel Bridge, this route is a loop course on trails.
It includes technical single track trails, great views of the James River, and crosses over historic Belle Isle. It is a moderately difficult loop with a relatively high amount of elevation change (for Richmond ). Parking is available at the trail head, which is accessible by turning right on Pump House Rd. from Blvd. There is a dirt parking lot with a sign for North Bank Trail. This loop proceeds counterclockwise starting out across the Nickel Bridge and finishes back where it starts. But the nice thing about loops is you can do them in whichever direction you please
