Road Runner to sponsor the RRRC Spring Marathon Training Team!

We are very pleased to announce that we will be lending our support to the Richmond Road Runners Club’s Spring Marathon Training Team!

RRRC SMTT

Beginning Wednesday, January 1st, we will host a group run specifically tailored for the RRRC Spring Marathon Training Team. We hope to help all of you hit your weekly mileage goals and provide pre- and post-run support, running partners, and good times to members of the team. Each run will start and end at the Road Runner Running Store in Carytown with a 6:00PM scheduled start. The “5-minute rule” will be in effect, so it is encouraged that you get here a little earlier to take care of any preparations. Post-run, please join us for recovery drinks and stretching. If anyone wants to hit up one of the bars here in Carytown, we’d be down for that as well!

Throughout the season we will also be joined by representatives from many of our top brands such as Brooks, Asics, Saucony, Mizuno, New Balance, Nike and Adidas for raffles, giveaways, and “test runs” of the latest and greatest footwear!

These runs are open to the public and are great training for intermediate and advanced 10K runners that are looking for a higher mileage run mid-week.

If you are not a member of the Richmond Road Runners Club, please check out their website and consider registering for a year membership for just $15! Members receive discounts at our store as well as discounts on race registrations, which pays for itself with your first shoe purchase as a member. The SMTT is only $10 for members, which is just pennies a mile ;).
